Immune Boosting Ingredients

Potentilla Arguta, a member of the Rocaceae family, was one of the twelve plants that demonstrated strong anti-viral properties within the coronavirus family. Potentilla Arguta exhibited complete inhibition of the respiratory syncytial virus in this study.

In a Canadian study by the Journal of Ethnopharmacology (, 100 methanolic plant extracts were screened for anti-viral activity against several viruses.

Astragalus has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. Its main purpose is to strengthen and regulate the immune system by promoting normal levels of specific immune cells in their function.

In addition, the polysaccharides in Astragalus are known for their immune supporting properties. Astragalus also contains Astragalosides (antioxidants) which support the integrity of the respiratory tract. Astragalus appears especially effective when immune function is stressed by epigenetic environmental influences.

Elderberry (Sambucus) has been shown to improve heart and respiratory health and provide a strong immune boost. Elderberry is rich in bioflavonoids and other compounds that have been shown to support immunity,
during acute stress.

Acerola is one of the richest natural sources of ascorbic acid and contains a plethora of phytonutrients like carotenoids phenolics, anthocyanins, and flavonoids.

There is an upsurge of interest in this fruit among the scientific community and pharmaceutical companies over the last few years. The fruit contains an exorbitant amount of ascorbic acid in the range of 1500–4500 mg/100 g, which is around 50–100 times more than that of orange or lemon.

Echinacea stimulates the production of T-cells, and increases the white blood cells ability to fend off pathogenic invaders.

Blackberry leaves have been traditionally used in herbal medicine as an antimicrobial agent and for their healthful antioxidant properties.

Due to their anti-inflammatory and immune boosting benefits, blackberry leaves are used to aid in healing sore throats, mouth sores, anti-aging, diarrhea, and wounds.

Green Tea is rich in antioxidants. Several studies have shown that green tea has antimicrobial properties that inhibit the growth of bacteria and viruses.

Two particular polyphenol catechins, epigallocatechingallate (EGCG) and –epicatechingallate(ECG) have the ability to suppress the activities of bacterial and viral factors and can even reverse the resistance of tough pathogens.

Peppermint has antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. Because of this, peppermint tea may fight clogged sinuses due to infections, the common cold and allergies.
